Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided to learn vision-care workflows and deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

You will work with the office team to maintain smooth patient flow, document medical history, and assist with pretest equipment and basic eye care tasks. Weekend/evening shifts may be required; strong communication and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with good interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn about eye care industry and MyEyeDr. workflows.
• Prior healthcare/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow between front office and doctor.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures and pretest activities.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings prior to the exam.
• Provide contact lens training for applicable patients and assist with preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
