Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements, preparing patients for visits, and ensuring a smooth flow in the exam room. No optical experience?

Training and tools are provided to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience. This role reports to the Office General Manager and may require some weekend and evening shifts.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math
Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening
Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist
Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services
Collaborative team player focused on patient experience
Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided

Responsibilities

Consult with patients, document conditions and chart medical history for Optometrist exam
Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff during appointments
Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures
Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings
Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing
Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience
