Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, including preliminary testing and measurements.

No optical experience is required; we provide training and tools to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience. Some weekend and evening shifts are required, reporting to the Office General Manager and partnering with the optical team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Comfortable learning new optical terminology and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills to reassure patients.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
