Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by handling patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training and tools will be provided to learn optical testing and patient care.

Some weekend and evening shifts are required to support a high-quality vision care experience for patients. You will assist with visual screenings, document patient history, and help maintain a smooth flow of patients through the clinic while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills and empathy for patients.
• Willingness to learn optical testing procedures.
• Ability to understand basic math.
• No prior optical experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they’ll experience.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for seamless patient experience.
