Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided for those without optical experience, enabling you to contribute to a high-quality vision care experience.

The role reports to the Office General Manager and may require some weekend and evening shifts. A strong focus on patient comfort and accurate documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic math ability.
• Patient, personable and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented with ability to work closely with the optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exam prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings before doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
