Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements, enabling efficient patient flow and prep for exams. Training will be provided even if you have no optical experience.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, attention to detail, and collaboration with the optometry team to deliver a high-quality vision care experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
Collaborative team player focused on patient experience.
Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required, training provided.

Responsibilities

Consult with patients, accurately document conditions and history for exam prep.
Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during appointments.
Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
