Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Warrenton, VA is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided for those new to optical care.

Some weekend and evenings shifts are required, with wage ranges varying by location. The role emphasizes delivering a best-in-class patient experience and requires a High School Diploma/GED, strong people skills, and a collaborative team spirit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they'll encounter.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure seamless patient experience.
