Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary tests, and documenting medical history. Training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and visual screenings before the exam.

Weekend and evening shifts are required. You will help maintain patient flow and comfort throughout the appointment, and collaborate with the Doctor and office staff to deliver a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient; able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conductor training for contact lenses for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
