Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided, and no optical experience is required to start. Some weekend and evening shifts are required.

You will help maintain patient flow, ensure comfort during procedures, and perform pretest screening and contact lens training as needed. A collaborative team environment supports growth and development in vision care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be personable and patient, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and pretest information for the Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment and perform visual screenings prior to the doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
