Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing, and gathering measurements. No optical experience is required—we provide training and tools to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; basic math understood.
• Personable, patient, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during appointments.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure seamless patient experience.
