Job summary

Rosin Eyecare, part of EssilorLuxottica, is hiring an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience in a busy Chicago-area practice. You will support eye exams, manage patient flow, and assist the optometrist with history taking and testing while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records.

You will engage with patients with courtesy and professionalism, help with contact lens coordination, and contribute to a welcoming, high‑quality eyecare team.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of strong customer service.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and maintain a professional image.
• Answer telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations, including history taking and prep.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully and coordinate with staff as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant filing and handling of patient records.
• Support retail as capacity allows and help with contact lens room organization.
