Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver a high-quality patient experience and support the optometrist during exams. You will greet patients, prepare them for examinations, review prescriptions, and ensure accurate data entry in the CIAO system.

You will maintain HIPAA-compliant records, manage inventory and support both clinical and retail functions as needed in a fast-paced environment in Chicago area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of strong customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with handling patient records and HIPAA basics.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and maintain a professional image.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient data carefully and consult when needed.
• Enter data for eye care services and fees into the system.
• Maintain patient records in an organized, HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Support exams and retail functions as demand requires.
