MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, recording medical history, and performing preliminary testing to help ensure efficient visits.

No optical experience is required; training and tools will be provided, and weekend or evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients.
• Detail oriented and able to work with the Optometrist.
• Willing to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player to deliver best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
