Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and training with pretest equipment. No optical experience is required as training will be provided.

Weekend and evenings shifts may be required to meet patient needs and schedule flexibility will be offered. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, patient comfort, and collaboration with the ophthalmic team to ensure a smooth patient experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient comfort during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optics, industry, products and services.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exam prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures they will encounter.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings before the doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver a seamless patient experience.
