MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history. Training will be provided, and you will learn pretest equipment to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with basic math ability.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and office staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
