Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to join our store team. You will guide patients through early vision-care steps, perform preliminary testing, and help connect patients with the OD and the sales floor to recommend products and services.

The role emphasizes a warm, human approach to eye care, with responsibilities across patient intake, data gathering, and supporting daily store operations to ensure a smooth patient journey.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to the OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
