Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice, trained in eye health and preliminary testing, guiding patients through the first steps of their eye-care journey. You will introduce patients to the OD and coordinate information for the exam and sales team.

The role supports daily operations, including record maintenance, restocking, equipment cleaning, and phone coverage to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
