Job summary

Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America seeks a Virtual Financial Consultant to deliver virtual counseling across the full range of TIAA products. You will advise participants, new entrants and beneficiaries, via in-person, phone and video chats to help achieve short and long-term financial goals.

The role begins with training; during this period, you are non-exempt and paid hourly with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial planning or advisory experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• FINRA registrations Series 7 and 63 required.
• Life and Health Insurance license required; licenses must be obtained within 120 days from start date.
• Hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of three days in the office per week.
• Base pay range documented with the potential for incentive programs.

Responsibilities

• Counsel participants on pension plans, tax-deferred annuities, and investment options.
• Educate and facilitate product purchases including mutual funds, IRAs, 529 and 403b, and insurance products.
• Interact with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional service and complete transactions.
• Utilize tax and investment knowledge to tailor financial advice to clients' needs.
• Communicate with cross-business teams to support product initiatives and client outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Institutional Plan Sponsors.
