Job summary

TIAA is seeking an Associate Financial Consultant to provide financial planning advice to participants, new entrants, prospects, and beneficiaries via phone and video chat. You will answer questions, educate on products, and help clients meet immediate and long-term goals within the Individual Advisory Center.

During training you are non-exempt and paid hourly with overtime; after training, you transition to a salaried exempt role. Licensing must be completed within 120 days of start date.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience; 3+ preferred.
• FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 registrations required.
• Life and Health Insurance License required within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Answers participant questions on pension plans, tax-deferred annuities and investment options to help clients retain and grow assets.
• Educates and facilitates product purchases (mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529/403b, bank products, life insurance).
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional service and process transactions.
• Uses tax and investment knowledge to tailor financial advice to client needs.
• Collaborates with cross-business teams to support products and initiatives.
• Develops relationships with institutional plan sponsors.
