Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Financial Consultant to provide in-person and virtual counseling on pensions, 401(k) products, and investments to help clients reach short- and long-term goals. You will receive training on TIAA's products, and the role starts as non-exempt hourly with overtime eligibility.

After training, the position is exempt and salaried, with a 40-hour week and ongoing client service across channels. Licensing must be completed within 120 days of start, and regional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Life and Health Insurance license required within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels participants on pension plans, tax-deferred annuities and other investment options to help clients retain and increase assets.
• Educates, recommends and facilitates product purchases (mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529 and 403b, bank products, life insurance).
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and execute transactions and service requests.
• Communicates with cross-business partnerships to develop and implement products and services.
