Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Financial Consultant to provide in-person and virtual counseling for participants, new entrants, and beneficiaries on a full spectrum of TIAA products and services. The role includes financial planning guidance via in person, phone and video chat to help clients reach short and long-term goals.

During initial training you will be non-exempt with hourly pay and overtime eligibility; post-training you will be salaried with a fixed weekly amount and overtime eligibility ends.

Qualifications

• University (Degree) Preferred
• 3+ Years experience required; 5+ Years preferred
• FINRA Registrations: Series 7; Series 63
• Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers within 120 Days

Responsibilities

• Counsels participants on pension plans, tax deferred annuities and other investment options to help clients retain and increase assets.
• Educates, recommends and facilitates new product purchases (including mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529 and 403b, bank products, life insurance) and provides authoritative information for personal financial planning decisions.
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and execute transactions and service requests.
• Utilizes knowledge of tax and investment strategies to inform financial advice based on clients' needs and objectives.
• Communicates internally with cross‑business partnerships to support clients and company initiatives.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with Institutional Plan Sponsors.
