Job summary

ROOST Detroit is seeking a passionate front desk/concierge team member to deliver top-notch hospitality. This blended role covers concierge and hotel receptionist duties, with opportunities to engage guests and ensure memorable stays in a thoughtfully designed space.

You will manage reservations, welcome and assist guests, handle payments, and coordinate with staff to meet standards while accommodating VIP requests and planning itineraries.

Qualifications

• Be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks independently.
• Must be computer savvy and a quick learner.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the public.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage online, phone, and in-person room reservations.
• Welcome guests, check them in, distribute room keys and explain the hotel’s amenities.
• Take payment from customers.
• Respond to guests’ issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner.
• Explain local amenities and attractions to guests.
• Work with other staff to ensure guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate special needs.
• Assist customers with planning of special events and arrange services for VIP guests.
• Create detailed itineraries for guests including transportation, restaurant reservations, tours, etc.
• Stand for extended periods and assist guests with luggage when necessary.
