Job summary

The Press Hotel in Portland, ME is seeking a Front Desk leader to maintain a premium guest experience across all interactions. You will manage daily front desk operations, greet guests, handle requests, and coach a team to uphold high service standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in hospitality, and at least 1 year in a leadership role, with strong communication and organizational skills. Compensation ranges from $24-25/hr, with comprehensive wellness and perk benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' hospitality experience, preferably in a luxury lifestyle hotel.
• 1+ year leadership experience.
• Knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and VIP events.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the professional appearance of the Front Desk with a focus on hospitality and Guest service.
• Interact with guests on an individual level to build repeat stays.
• Maintain lobby and Front Desk cleanliness and restock as needed.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
• Assist with VIP meet & greet at check-in and ensure arrival standards.
• Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, escalating to FOM when necessary.
• Enter and resolve guest complaints by the end of shift and compose handover reports.
• Lead AM/PM shift meetings and coach the team to maintain standards.
• Support employee recognition and maximize sales through up-selling.
