Job summary

Colonial Group in Belfast, ME seeks a Tech-Advisor to support service writers and technicians while delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role blends counter work with shop floor responsibilities and requires certification readiness across BATS, TPMS, ASE, and related areas.

You will help educate customers on vehicle conditions, process service orders, and maintain VIP standards to ensure a different and better customer experience at every visit.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as priority and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist at the counter as service writer and educate customers on vehicle condition.
• Perform shop technician duties and complete services per VIP standards.
• Complete LMS training and vendor certifications for Service Writer and Technician roles.
• Strive for strong customer engagement and productive billed hours.
• Learn VIP processes and execute duties to improve customer experience.
• Maintain facility/equipment and ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Enforce service code of ethics and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with management to ensure policy compliance and support performance reporting.
• Support service manager to achieve targeted performance through daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Adhere to a 5-day, 40-hour work week and punctual attendance.
