Job summary

The Broadmoor is seeking a Steward for its renowned Colorado Springs resort. You will be part of the backbone of the kitchen, supporting chefs and maintaining a steady flow of clean wares in a multicultural team.

This role offers hands-on experience in a Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond setting, with opportunities to learn and grow within a world-class operation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled university student, 18–25 years old.
• Valid J-1 Work & Travel visa eligibility.
• Conversational English sufficient to communicate with team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 15–20 kg.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial dishwashing machines and maintain a steady flow of clean china, glassware, silverware and cookware.
• Wash pots, pans and kitchen equipment by hand when needed.
• Keep kitchen floors, work surfaces and dish areas clean, organised and safe.
• Transport clean equipment to kitchens, banquet areas and outlets.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep support and deliveries.
• Sort and remove rubbish and recycling according to hotel standards.
• Follow all health, hygiene and food safety regulations.

About the Position: Steward

The Stewarding team is the backbone of every kitchen at The Broadmoor. Without you, the chefs simply couldn't create the magic that guests rave about. It's active, fast-paced work in a fun, multicultural team where you'll build real friendships with students from all over the world.

Your Daily Duties

• Operating industrial dishwashing machines and maintaining a steady flow of clean china, glassware, silverware and cookware
• Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment by hand when needed
• Keeping kitchen floors, work surfaces and dish areas clean, organised and safe
• Transporting clean equipment to kitchens, banquet areas and outlets
• Assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep support and deliveries
• Sorting and removing rubbish and recycling according to hotel standards
• Following all health, hygiene and food safety regulations

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly rate: $16.07 per hour
• Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime may be available during peak periods)
• Season: Summer to Fall – one of the busiest and most exciting times at the resort
• Tips: Not applicable for this position
