Job summary

The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is seeking a Training Lead Supervisor for Housekeeping to manage room cleanliness standards and teach new and current staff how to meet five-star hospitality expectations.

You will collaborate with the Executive Training Manager on onboarding programs, inspect rooms and public areas to uphold luxury standards, coach staff on cleaning methods and safety, and participate in performance reviews and SOP updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in housekeeping training supervision and hospitality preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and email.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Motivated team player with positive energy and collaboration.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance and proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

• Monitor supplies and equipment to ensure staff have proper tools.

Job Summary:

As a Housekeeping Training Lead, you will be managing room cleanliness standards and teaching new and current cleaning staff how to meet our five-star hospitality expectations. Learn more about Broadmoor here.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Supports the hiring, training, and re-training of employee process.
• Collaborate with the Executive Training Manager to create and run onboarding programs for all new housekeeping employees, and training initiatives.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and cottages to ensure strict luxury standards are met daily.
• Work side-by-side with room attendants to coach them on proper cleaning methods, chemical usage, room amenities placement, AAA Forbes and Broadmoor Standards, safety protocols, and housekeeping Policies and Procedures.
• Track employee performance during daily inspections and deliver constructive feedback or retraining sessions.
• Help update standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals to reflect luxury resort changes and Broadmoor guidelines.
• Rewarding and recognizing employees for their exceptional performance and by participating in various reward and recognition programs of the department and hotel.
• Participate in the employee progressive disciplinary process, including the coaching, counseling, and administration of employee discipline.
• Keep track of the special maintenance issues that you or your team reported and follow-up, maintain open communication with your manager.
• Actively participates in timely administration of 90-day and annual performance process.
• Attends regularly schedule supervisor meetings and applicable leadership training classes to include preparing and delivering group presentations.
• Monitor cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment to ensure staff have proper tools.
• Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
• Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
• Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping training supervisor and hospitality is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
• Bilingual skills (English and Spanish).
• A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 100 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
