Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Vice President, People Technology and Operations to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This leader will shape the enterprise people technology agenda and ensure the HR operating model supports a growing, complex life sciences organization. The role will partner closely with the CHRO and other business leaders to translate strategy into scalable systems, governance, and service delivery. It will also drive process modernization, data integrity, and operational effectiveness across the people function.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $285,000 – $385,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and align the people technology strategy and roadmap with business priorities
• Lead the design and optimization of Workday and HR systems, ensuring platform effectiveness
• Establish technology governance and manage demand prioritization and change control
• Oversee data governance and integrations, ensuring accountability for data quality
• Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance service delivery and reduce manual effort
• Translate the CHRO’s strategy into operational priorities and service delivery capabilities
• Ensure accurate data and effective controls across people operations processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Technology, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in people technology, HR systems, or HR transformation
• 8+ years of leadership experience managing teams
• Proven success in designing and scaling people operations in complex organizations
• Experience with Workday implementation and optimization, translating business needs into effective solutions
• Demonstrated application of AI in business processes, with sound judgment on data privacy and accuracy
• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology preferred
