Job summary

JPMorganChase invites an experienced Attorney - Vice President to join the Legal team supporting Merchant Services within JPMorgan Payments. You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, advise on product implementations and marketing documents, and coordinate with global legal colleagues on regulatory matters.

The role requires a J.D. and at least five years of practice, with strong drafting, transactional, and cross-border negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree with at least 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience advising on products, services and customer-facing documents.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, global environments with cross-border matters.
• Experience managing external counsel on complex matters.
• Excellent communication with senior executives and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating various agreements
• Advising on products and services including support of new product implementations and drafting customer-facing terms
• Negotiating commercial agreements with customers, vendors and strategic partners
• Advising on marketing documents and new business initiatives
• Interpreting laws and regulations and advising on changes thereto
• Coordinating with Legal Department members in other lines of business on various matters
• Providing legal advice to the business and corporate functions
• Collaborating with other partners to raise awareness and escalation of issues
• Participating in cross line of business initiatives as a subject matter expert
• Managing outside counsel
