• Solid understanding of field service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, customer service, and service documentation.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, codes, and procedure manuals; strong written communication and confidence speaking before groups.
• Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field preferred.
• Fire protection or field service industry experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment and random drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Service Managers and assigned office staff, setting clear expectations, goals, and accountability for each department.
• Make sure service work is scheduled, completed on time, documented accurately, and billed promptly.
• Own operational financial performance, including labor efficiency, departmental profitability, overtime, and expense control, and help build annual operating budgets with the CEO and accounting.
• Minimize unbilled work, billing errors, and revenue leakage, and keep service accounts current.
• Set and enforce customer service standards, resolve significant customer issues, and fix the root causes of recurring complaints.
• Champion safety, quality, and compliance with NFPA, OSHA, manufacturer, and state/local requirements.
• Standardize processes for scheduling, dispatching, documentation, deficiency follow-up, billing, and customer communication, and get the most out of our software and technology.
• Establish meaningful operational metrics and report regularly to the CEO on performance, risks, and progress on strategic initiatives.
• Serve on the executive leadership team, helping shape strategy, growth initiatives, and major operational investments.
• Build succession plans and a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement
