Michaels Stores in Durham, NC is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan, coordinate, and execute in-store events such as kids birthday parties and craft classes. You will guide guests through activities, help with project setup, and ensure a fun, safe, and memorable experience.

You will work with store teams to prepare merchandise, manage communications with clients, handle registrations and email inquiries, and support checkout and store recovery tasks to uphold our Brand Promises.

Qualifikationen

• Experience planning or coordinating events is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with guests of all ages and with store teams.

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (e.g., children’s birthday parties, craft classes).
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide participants through crafts; assist with add-ons (balloons, goody bags).
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; manage emails and calls.
• Complete administrative tasks and adjust plans based on feedback.
• Create backup plans to ensure event success and uphold brand standards.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety during events and post-event wrap-up.
• Support in-stock, merchandising, and POS processes as needed.
