Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run kids' birthday parties and in-store events while delivering friendly service. You will help customers shop, locate products, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience integrated with rewards enrollments.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, communicating with clients and team members, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety as part of standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience planning events for guests of all ages.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent people and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's parties and craft classes.
• Assist customers with shopping, product location, and checkout.
• Enroll customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Card programs.
• Support BOPIS and Ship From Store processes and stock maintenance.
• Clean up and reset areas after events and maintain store standards.
