Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Benton Harbor, MI is seeking an Event Coordination and Customer Experience teammate to plan and execute children’s parties and craft classes, creating a fun, creative environment.

You will teach projects, manage add-ons like goody bags and balloons, handle customer interactions, and assist with store operations while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating children's parties and events.
• Ability to engage customers of all ages and teach activities.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Instruct party participants in craft projects and perform face painting or related activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; assist with paperwork as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards during setup, event and breakdown.
• Support with stock, restocking and general store operations during events.
