Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage with customers of all ages, teach and assist participants, and support add-ons like goody bags and balloons while maintaining Michaels’ standards.

You will also coordinate with clients and store teams, handle emails and calls, and adjust plans based on feedback to ensure high client satisfaction and safe, clean event spaces.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children’s events preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage customers of all ages with a friendly, helpful attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other crafts/classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants, and perform face painting and activities as needed.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, paperwork.
