Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Michigan is seeking an in-store event coordinator to plan and run kid’s birthday parties and craft events. You will engage guests, assist shoppers, and support checkout and store operations to ensure a seamless experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Ability to plan and coordinate events, including children’s parties.
• Excellent people skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to engage guests of all ages and create a fun, safe environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events and birthday parties.
• Deliver friendly customer service and assist guests in-store shopping.
• Run fast, friendly checkouts and support omnichannel processes.
• Engage with clients of all ages and demonstrate party activities (face painting, crafts).
• Set up and break down event spaces; maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
