Job summary

ABB is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, end users, and internal teams. The role covers VFDs, 3-phase power, system wiring, and connectivity, with a hybrid work model in New Berlin, WI, and remote options across the United States.

You will troubleshoot, program drives, configure parameters, and collaborate across engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to deliver timely resolutions. Ongoing learning and documentation are key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years electrical/technical experience, or an associate degree with 6+ years, or a high school diploma with 8+ years.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written) and be computer-literate.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFDs and related systems.
• Assist with drive programming, parameter configuration, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve issues.
• Document support cases and best practices using Salesforce Case Management.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
