Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to deliver technical assistance for Low Voltage VFDs, 3-phase power, and system wiring. The role combines hybrid work in New Berlin, WI with remote work across the United States.

You will troubleshoot drive issues, program drives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality customer outcomes. A strong electrical background and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work is required.
• Experience with electrical principles and troubleshooting drives.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD applications and field issues.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control-system integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with warranty team to initiate replacements and labor authorizations.
• Document support cases and solutions using Salesforce and other tools.
