Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to deliver technical guidance to customers, end users, and internal teams. You will assist with drive programming, wiring, and control-system integration while collaborating across engineering, sales, and service to resolve issues.

The role requires a strong foundation in VFD technology, electrical principles, and excellent English communication. Hybrid work options include in-office New Berlin, WI, or remote work within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of electrical/technical experience or equivalent.
• VFD knowledge is required.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting drives.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for Low Voltage VFDs and related systems.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate with warranty team to initiate replacements and labor authorizations.
• Maintain detailed case documentation using Salesforce Case Management and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
