Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a VFD Support Specialist in the US with hybrid work options in New Berlin, WI or remote across the United States.

You will provide technical support for Low Voltage VFDs, assist in commissioning and troubleshooting, and collaborate with engineering, service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues. You will document solutions in Salesforce, stay updated on VFD tech and be able to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of electrical/technical experience OR equivalent level.
• Strong knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone & email for Low Voltage VFDs and assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
• Collaborate with warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorization.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support cases using Salesforce Case Management and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
