Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Sonographer to support ultrasound services across VEG hospitals and training facilities. You will work closely with emergency doctors to provide same-day ultrasound scans for diverse patients, while coordinating education opportunities and expanding ultrasound capabilities.

You will lead training for home and regional hospitals, mentor colleagues, and participate in curriculum development to ensure up-to-date techniques align with VEG’s mission and

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT) or equivalent experience (sonographer certificates)
• 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience
• Experience teaching/training doctors, nurses, and sonographers
• Strong communication and adaptability in changing environments
• Willingness to travel to regional hospitals and off-site facilities

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at home and regional hospitals
• Coordinate with teleradiologists for feedback and quality assurance
• Maintain VEG ultrasound training content aligned with culture and standards
• Track skills using an Ultrasound Certificate checklist
• Develop curricula materials (PowerPoints, videos, simulations) for training programs
• Lead educational demonstrations for doctors and nurses at other VEG locations
