Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group seeks a Sonographer to provide ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and training facilities. You will collaborate with emergency doctors for same-day scans, coordinate education opportunities, and help grow ultrasound skills across home and regional hospitals.

You will travel to regional hospitals for training sessions, mentor peers, and contribute to curriculum development while aligning with VEG’s culture and mission.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician or RDMS with ultrasound experience.
• 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience.
• Experience training doctors, nurses and fellow sonographers.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate training at home and regional hospitals.
• Coordinate weekly schedule with hospital manager and medical director for training.
• Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists and ensure up-to-date techniques.
• Develop ultrasound curriculum materials and assessments for the team.
• Provide demonstrations and education on abdominal, thoracic, cardiac and musculoskeletal studies.
