Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks a Sonographer to provide ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and training facilities. You will conduct same-day scans, collaborate with emergency doctors, and coordinate ultrasound training across home and regional hospitals.

The role requires adapting to new cases and teaching others in a dynamic ER environment. You will mentor colleagues, participate in curriculum development, and travel to regional facilities to expand VEG’s ultrasound program while

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a veterinary technician or sonographer with appropriate credential(s).
• 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience.
• Experience in training and mentoring doctors, nurses, and sonographers.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies and lead ultrasound training across home and regional hospitals.
• Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure training content aligns with VEG culture and up-to-date techniques.
• Track skills using a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist.
• Collaborate with medical directors and hospital managers on program development and schedules.
• Develop ultrasound curriculum materials and demonstrations for VEGs.
