Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks a Sonographer to provide ultrasound support across VEG hospitals and training facilities. You will work closely with emergency doctors to deliver same-day scans, while coordinating ultrasound training for home and regional hospitals and inspiring VEGgies to grow their ultrasound skills.

The role involves mentoring, curriculum development, and collaboration with radiology education leaders to implement new training protocols and schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience.
• Previous training experience and the patience to teach and develop doctors, nurses, and fellow sonographers.
• Comfortable mentoring others and giving/receiving feedback from colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at your home hospital and regional hospitals.
• Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists and ensure feedback loops.
• Develop and update ultrasound training content to align with VEG culture and techniques.
• Track skills using a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist.
• Lead program evaluation and ongoing improvements to VEG ultrasound training.
