Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking a Sonographer to provide ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and training facilities. You will work with emergency doctors to offer same-day ultrasound scans for pets and help coordinate ultrasound training across home and regional hospitals.

The role focuses on developing skills, coaching peers, and contributing to curriculum materials, while traveling to regional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician or RDMS credential.
• 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience required.
• Experience in training and mentoring peers.
• Strong communication and adaptability to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at the home hospital and regional hospitals.
• Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists and accept feedback.
• Ensure training content aligns with VEG culture and up-to-date techniques.
• Track skills with a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist.
• Contribute to curriculum materials and educational demonstrations for VEGs.
