Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a skilled Sonographer to provide ultrasound support across VEG hospitals and training facilities. You will work closely with emergency doctors to deliver same-day scans for various patients and to coordinate comprehensive ultrasound education for home and regional hospitals.

The role emphasizes teaching, program development, and leadership in training VEGgies to grow their ultrasound skills, with travel to regional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT) or RDMS or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years veterinary ultrasound experience.
• Experience training doctors, nurses, and fellow sonographers.
• Willing to travel to regional hospitals and off-site training facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate training at home and regional hospitals.
• Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists for feedback.
• Ensure training content aligns with VEG culture and current techniques.
• Track skills using the VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist.
• Lead/participate in curriculum development for ultrasound training.
• Present ultrasound topics to doctors and nurses at VEG hospitals.
