Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a Sonographer to provide ultrasound support and lead training across VEG hospitals and regional facilities. You will work closely with emergency doctors to deliver same-day scans and develop the ultrasound education program for staff.

The role requires credentialed ultrasound expertise, teaching ability, and a willingness to travel to regional hospitals to expand VEG ultrasound capabilities.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician or RDMS with ultrasound experience.
• 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience.
• Prior training experience and ability to teach doctors and nurses.
• Strong mentoring and feedback skills.
• Adaptable to changing environments.
• Excellent communicator with peers and VEGgies.
• Willing to travel to regional hospitals (Fort Collins, CO; Las Vegas, NV; White Plains, NY).

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies at home and regional hospitals and train staff.
• Coordinate weekly schedule with hospital managers and directors.
• Provide ultrasound curriculum material (PowerPoints, videos, simulations).
• Lead ultrasound training programs and certify staff with VEG ultrasound checklist.
• Offer educational demonstrations at other VEG locations.
