Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager to drive the Vet BU strategy across Altamont Region, CA, covering Stockton, Modesto, Tracey, Livermore, San Ramon areas. This field-based role requires living within the territory and entails 20–30% travel with occasional weekends.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of sales experience (B2B preferred) and strong communication and presentation skills, plus a driver’s license. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Overnight travel required, approximately 20-30% travel

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography
• Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address veterinary staff needs
• Collaborate across BU and organization with stakeholders to meet shared objectives
• Build partnerships and work with others to meet objectives
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment and adapt to changes
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance
• Manage expense and sales budgets; complete CRM and expense reports timely
