Job summary

Mars, Incorporated is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Altamont Region in California. This field-based role requires residency within the territory and will drive Vet BU strategy, grow clinic relationships, and meet sales KPIs through data-driven opportunities.

You will translate product knowledge into meaningful business opportunities, build partnerships with clinic decision-makers, and deliver compelling presentations while managing an expense budget and CRM reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approximately 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within the territory.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with key stakeholder groups across the BU and organization.
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment in fluid, complex settings.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Budget and reporting: Manage expenses and CRM/expense reports timely and accurately.
