Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in the Fayetteville, NC area seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager – Royal Canin. You will execute Vet BU strategy, identify clinic opportunities, and drive sales across a multi-state territory including Asheboro, Sanford, Pinehurst, Goldsboro, and Darlington.

This field-based role requires living in territory, 2+ years sales experience, and ability to travel 20-30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Ability to translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs. Leverage this to grow clinics within assigned geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address the unique needs of the Veterinary staff.
• Develops strong working relationship with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization. Balances the needs and interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs).
• Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Effectively execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment. Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and routinely adjust the strategies, tactics, and investments based on changing needs to maximize territory performance.
• Budget and reporting: Manage an expense and sales budget. Complete CRM call reports, expense reports and presentations in a timely and accurate manner.
