Job summary

Mars Incorporated seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager to lead territory growth across Johnson City, TN and Asheville, NC. You will translate clinic data into opportunities, develop business plans, and build relationships with clinic decision-makers to drive veterinary sales.

You will deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to veterinary staff, coordinate with account teams and scientific affairs, and manage budgets and CRM reporting within a dynamic, field-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Overnight travel 20–30%+ and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs. Leverage this to grow clinics within assigned geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address the unique needs of the Veterinary staff.
• Develops strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization. Balances the needs and interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs).
• Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Effectively execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment. Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and routinely adjust the strategies, tactics, and investments based on changing needs to maximize territory performance.
• Budget and reporting: Manage an expense and sales budget. Complete CRM call reports, expense reports and presentations in a timely and accurate manner.
