Job summary

Small Door Veterinary is seeking a Veterinary Technician Recruiter to partner with clinics across markets and build lasting relationships with veterinary technicians. You will own the full hiring process, travel to priority markets, and shape pipeline strategy while maintaining high-quality hires that align with our culture.

You’ll collaborate with field leaders, plan outreach, and ensure timely communication with candidates.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (3+ preferred)
• Track record of recruiting scarce, passive clinical talent
• Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search
• Solid understanding of veterinary terminology (animal or human)
• Relationship-driven, self-directed, travel-friendly
• Bachelor's degree required
• Ability to travel up to 10-20%

Responsibilities

• Be the recruiting partner for veterinary technicians and other roles in assigned markets.
• Visit clinics to understand team culture, staffing needs, and referral opportunities.
• Own the full hiring process from outreach to offer letter.
• Reach passive candidates through direct outreach, networking, job boards, and social media.
• Coordinate on-site interviews and prep with clinic leaders.
• Maintain a pipeline of candidates and provide market insights in real time.
• Collaborate with regional directors and medical leadership to forecast needs.
